Shoes and vows (Hmm, is that the right order?) :-) June 20, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — Heather @ 9:40 pm

I totally scored the other weekend – found the perfect shoes for the wedding.  $70 for only $20.  Nice!!  They’ll work for the ceremony AND the reception; what more can a girl ask for?? :-)

We have a lot of the wedding things taken care of already.  It feels a little strange not having a whole lot to do.  Actually, it’s been a little nice and has given us time to focus on getting the ceremony and vows written.  I’m enjoying that part – been stealing things I like from my favorite wedding site and crafting it into something meaningful and interesting.  I’ve found a lot of things I like and think I’m putting together something really good.  Well, time will tell!

Invitations are just about ready to send out! June 1, 2008

Filed under: Invitations — Heather @ 1:04 pm

Last weekend we spent several hours designing our invitations and we think we’ve come up with a really nice looking one!  Simple, a little non-traditional in the wording, nice quote at the top.  They’re not like some of the fancier professionally produced invitations but, honestly, we just couldn’t justify spending lots of $$$ on professional ones when there are lots of attractive DIY options!  We’re really, really pleased with the way that they came out.  In fact I got so excited about them that they’re almost ready to send out, even though we’re way too early for that.

It’s hard to believe that the wedding is less than 5 months away!  I (Heather) am starting to get really excited about it.  The arrangements are coming together nicely so we’re not stressing about the details.  I’m sure things will get more frantic toward the end but for now we’re happily crossing things off the to do list.  The wedding planning has been remarkably relaxing thus far!  I’m almost hesitant to type that, though, because I feel like I’m going to jinx myself!  LOL!  :-D
